It is with our utmost excitement to announce our most recent recognition in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Financial Corporate Performance Management. This being our first acknowledgment in the Magic Quadrant, it goes without saying that we are a bit elated. Let us elaborate…

So what is the Gartner Magic Quadrant, and why is it a big deal?  Each year Gartner researches product developments within specific markets and then recognizes those that are doing things well, beyond well or uniquely well, so to say. In this case, Gartner has provided evaluations of industry vendors that support financial accounting processes to achieve corporate financial close, including financial reporting and consolidation, and enhanced financial control and automation. For this inaugural Financial Corporate Performance Management Solutions Magic Quadrant, Gartner evaluated some predictable behemoths in the enterprise space, such as Oracle, SAP and IBM. This year, Hubble by insightsoftware.com stood among the rest of them and was named a Niche Player, which refers to providers that typically focus on a smaller segment of the market. Yes, Niche. Our thoughts? We’ll take it!

Equipped with reporting, analytics and planning for JD Edwards and Oracle E-Business Suite, Hubble proudly provides users with the ability to understand, manage and predict the business in real-time. Quite the benefit we think.

Within the report, Gartner specifically recognized three key strengths of Hubble as a Niche Player in the Magic Quadrant, including our high rating among customers, our quality user interface (UI) and global presence.

Let’s take a look at these a bit more in depth.

Customer Love.  Let me tell you, the feeling is mutual! Gartner noted that we received the highest level of customer satisfaction across all of the FCPM vendors in the Magic Quadrant. We won’t lie, we are super proud of this. We go to great lengths to make sure that we are delivering a top-notch product that brings extensive value to our customers right away. With an easy-to-customize, out-of-the-box solution, our customers can reap the benefits of Hubble literally in hours – not weeks, months or years. We want our customers to be focused on their business, not weighted down by clunky implementations or a distressing, dated interface. We want our customers to love working with Hubble everyday – with the peace of mind that comes with ongoing customer support. Now on to why they love us. Trust us, we know why because they tell us. Hundreds of them to be exact. Bear with me as I elaborate. 

Note: If you read the full report you might find that Hubble received some unfavorable annotations around partnerships. While it is true that our product partnership program is not nearly as elaborate as some of the big guys, it is not without specific reasoning and rationality. We have strategically chosen to focus on customer partnerships in efforts to develop the best possible product for JDE and EBS. Developing a more robust partnership program is definitely in our future plans. However, it is the 800 customer partnerships we currently hold that have got us to where we are today.

More Than a Pretty Face. When our Hubble brothers and sisters utilize our solution to solve their ERP frustrations, we want them to be stunned by the simplistic beauty of the product itself and then blown away by the backing of superior functionality. So when Gartner gave us some praise around our UI, our entire development team started to blush.

Before I address the product functionality itself, there is something to be said about Hubble’s user interface (UI). Sure, we think financial management should be secure, accurate and robust. But because we strongly believe that you need a high adoption rate in your organization to be successful, we also believe the software itself should be a thing of beauty. So we’ve made the UI so simple, yet with rich data visuals that your C-suite will love. As a former CPA/Accountant, I can honestly say that the Hubble UI is something that stands out. But don’t feel like you have to take it from me. Hear it from our users yourself.  

Now on the nuts and bolts behind the beauty. Built by former finance and IT professionals themselves, Hubble goes beyond basic reporting to provide value to the entire enterprise. Don’t get me wrong, when it comes to real-time reconciliations, financial consolidations and so forth, Hubble can handle. Designed with pre-built templates, our solution can manage company processes within departments such as HR and Accounting. These functionalities are only a fraction of its many capabilities.

As a holistic corporate performance management solution, Hubble streamlines processes and procedures with integration, automation and observation. Quite frankly, we like to think that we possess David-like agility, precision and smarts compared to some of our competitors’ obvious Goliath-ness. Maybe its magic? No, we built it that way and users all around the world are taking note of it.

To Infinity and Beyond. Aside from our good looks and great charm, we also received recognition for having a strong global product presence - which is perhaps unusual for a smaller Niche Player. What can we say? We’re just popular! In fact, 1/3 of our customers are based outside of the United States in a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, mining, real-estate, food and beverage and more.

With customers such as, Dole, Hallmark and Nintendo, Hubble might be a late bloomer to the Magic Quadrant but we definitely are not a novice solution. We’ve just been a bit under the radar with our brand. Until now…

Note: Those that fully read the Magic Quadrant will find that though we received praise for our international presence, we received not so great raves around our exclusivity to JDE and EBS ERP systems. We would like to address this with a quote from the Great Muhammad Ali, “I know where I'm going and I know the truth, and I don't have to be what you want me to be. I'm free to be what I want.” What do we mean? We are perfectionists. We want to deliver the best product to our customers (hence our high marks on customer satisfaction). But I’ll be honest, we are not the type of team to settle or get complacent either. Once we develop and perfect the same standard for other ERPs, I suspect you’ll see us in new places. Stay tuned.
